Moving Forward Together as a Whole School with a Deep Understanding of Children
Workshop: “Managing Challenging Behavior in School Settings”
Date: July 19–20, 2025
Venue: Prasartvidhyanonthaburi School Canteen
Time: 09:00 AM – 04:00 PM
Prasartvidhyanonthaburi School organized a professional development workshop for teachers, TAs and educational staff on the topic “Managing Challenging Behavior in School Settings.” This training was led by Lt. Col. Supat Totab, the school psychologist, who facilitated the session as our coach.
The training focused on interactive learning through group activities, real-life scenario workshops and classroom experience sharing, enabling teachers to reflect on their understanding and collaboratively develop practical strategies for managing children.
2-Day Learning Programme:
Day 1: Understand Behavior = Understand Students.
Teachers engaged in activities that offered new perspectives on student behavior, diving into causes and impacts. Through realistic scenarios, they explored how “what children show” and “what children need” may not always be the same.
Day 2: Building a Connected Team for Whole Student Support
Teachers participated in group activities focused on the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework. The goal is to create a shared direction for supporting students across the entire school. Participants learned practical classroom management strategies and how to work together as a cohesive support system.
“When every teacher and TA shares the same goal, every child receives consistent and quality support.”
This training is the first step in a shared journey of reflection, understanding, and collaboration across the school community, closely guided by our school psychologist. It aims to ensure a consistent approach to student behavior management and to enhance students’ overall quality of life.
